The Custard Tart

I've gained some weight and really *shouldn't* have worn lycra until I flattened down the stomach.....

Smitty named this outfit the Custard Tart the first time I wore it (in a "Slave Auction" at an Eastercon, as far as I recall) and the name sort of stuck.

I made the lycra body-suit (one of several in various colours, styles and lengths) from cheap stuff bought in a bargain fabric shop because it was so cheap and such a lovely colour. The jacket was given to me and the shoes are some cheap white stilettos (bought in the Tall and Small department of a big shoe shop on Oxford Street, London many years ago to wear with a wedding dress costume). I dyed them yellow with Dylon shoe dye. They've seen many years of use (they were originally dyed yellow to go with my Corporate Elf suit - a Shaddowrun costume I passed on to a friend some years ago becaue I no longer fit into it) and are still going strong.

The t-shirt, which is mostly hidden under the jacket in this photo, reads (in yellow letters on the black) on the front:

"If you're a fairy, wave your wand at me and see if I go...."

And on the back:

"POOF"

I had the idea while passing a place that printed T-shirts and it was too good to waste....
