Asphodel and Guy (two typical Renaissance air-heads) become betrothed, possibly because they had matching outfits and it seemed a shame to waste them....

My doublet and Susie's gown were bought in an auction of ex-BBC costumes. The shirt and hose were made by me. The hose, known as the "Kermit hose" because of the colour, were my first attempt at any sort of historical costume and since they were comfortable, fit like they were painted on and everyone seemed to like them, I felt that they were well worth the £4/yard I paid for the wool crepe in the Liberty fabric department sale (plus the cost of the cheap leather in-soles used to finish the soles of the feet on them).
